                                Sunflower Children Summer Camp

It is a charity program co-sponsored by celebrities and seven well-known organizations from Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai for the Sichuan Earthquake region. Our primary objectives were to keep children from the danger zone, to rebuild their hope and confidence, as well as to release their parents from worries and fear.

Sunflower symbolizes the children in the disaster area. They will continue to live vigorously while love and care are poured on them just like a sunflower blooms with sunlight and water.

The slogan in the camp was “I fear not, I have love, I can smile, I prevail!”

This camp involved 12 different villages. About 600 volunteers participated in this caring project for over 3,000 children. The organizers include: The Olympic Link, NPO Development Center, Shanghai, Educational Services Exchange with China, and Bright China Foundation.
